Join the AgriSphere Solutions international community
AgriSphere is an international project that brings together innovators, researchers, and institutions from Cyprus, Spain, and Japan to support the adoption of digital solutions in agriculture. Through training, mentoring, and funded cross-border piloting, it accelerates the sustainable digital transformation of the agri-food sector.
The funding is open to companies and teams developing digital-agriculture solutions, including:
Early-stage ventures scaling digital solutions for the agritech market.
Tech companies aligning hardware and software with farm-level realities.
Translating theoretical models into deployable digital tools.
Producers mastering new technologies for efficiency and yield.
Each selected company receives €10,000 per partner country visited, to pilot their technology abroad. A company can visit one partner country or both — for a maximum of €20,000 per company.
Visit one partner country (€10,000) or both (€20,000) — it's up to the applicant and the proposal.
Participants who successfully complete the programme will be eligible to apply for dedicated funding to conduct business discovery and technology piloting activities in the consortium partner countries: Japan, Spain, and Cyprus.
€10,000 per partner country · up to €20,000 per company
The funding supports short-term international visits, building on the programme's training and mentoring phase. Selected participants will:
Demonstrate and pilot their solutions in real-world ecosystems
Collaborate with host organisations and their local networks
Access support to navigate legal, commercial, and operational barriers
Gather new data, attend local conferences, and explore additional funding avenues
To access the pilot funding, participants must meet the following criteria.
Register as a member of the AgriSphere network. This is the entry point — all other criteria build on being an active participant in the community.
Participants are required to complete a minimum of 4 AgriSphere training activities (e.g., webinars, workshops, or seminars).
Participants are expected to demonstrate active engagement with the programme and readiness to progress. This includes self-documenting and submitting:
Participants are required to submit a proposal outlining the activities they intend to implement within the AgriSphere Solutions programme. The proposal should include:
Where proposals are of comparable quality and feasibility, additional consideration will be given to the degree of alignment with the AgriSphere programme and its project partners.
Note
Active participation in at least 4 training sessions is required to be considered for AgriSphere funding opportunities. Participation in additional sessions is encouraged and will strengthen the application.
Only applicants who meet the training requirement and are developing solutions related to digital transformation and robotics in sustainable agriculture will be eligible for funding.
The funding (€10,000 per partner country, up to €20,000 per company) is intended to cover expenses associated with short-term international visits and pilot activities in partner countries. The precise list of eligible expenses will be set by the programme, in line with consortium regulations.
Broadly, the funding is expected to support activities tied to:
Short-term international visits to Japan, Spain, or Cyprus to pilot and demonstrate technology
Real-world pilot deployment and demonstration with host organisations
Engagement with local partners, stakeholders, and networks
Participation in local conferences and events tied to the pilot
Operational needs to navigate legal, commercial, and logistical aspects of piloting abroad
Full eligibility rules and documentation requirements will be communicated to selected participants.
From joining the network to piloting your solution abroad.
A unique pathway — from training, to mentoring, to funded piloting abroad — designed to help participants de-risk their innovations and accelerate their journey to market.
Join UsThe consortium will use this space to share relevant external funding calls and opportunities from the EU and other countries. Each opportunity will be accompanied by a direct link and a short description, helping participants easily identify potential sources of support for their research, business discovery, or technology piloting activities.
