On January 28th, 2026, farmers, startups, AgVenture Lab, JA Okinawa, and local government partners are coming together at OIST for From Field to Startup: Solving Okinawa’s Agriculture Challenges. 🚜💡 This event will be hybrid, with in-person participation at OIST and a Zoom livestream for our AgriSphere partners in Spain and Cyprus—so the innovation conversation can cross borders as easily as ideas do. There will be simultaneous interpretation in English and Japanese.

Expect insights into real challenges faced by Okinawan farmers, a panel exploring how startups can turn those problems into opportunities, and a series of startup pitches showcasing agri-tech ideas ready for testing, collaboration, and impact.
