OIST Innovation’s very own Anna Nagamine and Caitlin Clouse have officially kicked off a dynamic new international collaboration with Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and TECNOVA in Spain to help hashtag#AgriTech innovators scale globally. They traveled to Cyprus to officially launch and coordinate the newly funded initiative: "𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞" (𝐒𝐃𝐍 – 𝐒𝐭í𝐫𝐢𝐱𝐢 – 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 – 𝐍ō𝐠𝐲ō). This innovative project, funded under the EIG CONCERT-Japan grant, aims to bridge the gap between research and implementation in the rapidly evolving field of 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.

This 3-year program is all about advancing 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 by enabling the exchange of entrepreneurs and researchers between partner institutions to 𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐧-𝐭𝐡𝐞-𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Piloting opportunities in two other countries
Mentoring, training, and innovation support
Experimental farms and test fields
A thriving international network of experts and peers

During their time in Cyprus, the visiting delegation participated in a series of meetings and networking events with local stakeholders and representatives from academia, industry, government, as well as various startups. They even got to have lunch with the Japanese Ambassador to Cyprus, Yoshio Yamawaki, and other government representatives.
